Pray for your pastors and Christian leaders in the coming days. A form of demonic pressure is being brought to bear on many of them – though not all – that feels like coordinated witchcraft across a broad front at a level of intensity I have not seen in 40 years of ministry. I am not one who often speaks of such things. I don’t like that focus, so please take me seriously. This attack strikes at the point of weakest vulnerability in order to drive people off balance emotionally, distort perceptions and destroy key relationships at a time of fresh release of the Spirit in ministries. It will be vitally important for leadership to cling tightly to Jesus during this season in order to remain balanced and avoid making fatal mistakes.
If this is affecting you in your situation, avoid making assumptions about people or situations. The enemy would destroy relationships if he can. Ask questions of the people who matter to you and listen to the answers, honoring what you hear. Listen to God’s voice. Focus on Jesus. Dig deep in the Word. Govern your emotions. Pressures to divide are never God. See the prayer of Jesus in John 17 and know that where the Spirit of the Lord goes, unity follows and people are drawn together. Practice James 5:16 to guard and protect your heart and spirit, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
Where witchcraft is concerned, pray Psalm 7:15-16, “He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made. His mischief will return upon his own head, And his violence will descend upon his own pate.” Or Psalm 35:7-8, “For without cause they hid their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit for my soul. Let destruction come upon him unawares, And let the net which he hid catch himself; Into that very destruction let him fall.” Send the power of this thing back upon its source.
This is a broad-based attack that I believe will spread. Its purpose is to stop a key revival from breaking out at a strategic time in history. This revival is already manifesting in some locations. These places may be where the pressure of this attack hits the hardest, especially in the early stages when things are most vulnerable. So, “having done everything…stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13). It is a season for intensified prayer and a deeper focus on intimacy with Jesus.
